2. Product Description

This is a pack of 3  rechargeable battery, 3 x Lithium-ion Batteries total of 7,500 mAh with a short wire lead and male plug for connection to a Battery management system printed circuit board (BMS, PCBA) which is charged via a  USBC charging cable connected to the BMS, PCBA. Designed for efficiency and safety, it is suitable for indoor use only.

CE Marking: 

       

  • RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU): The battery pack is manufactured in compliance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances, ensuring that all materials used are within the permitted limits of hazardous substances by testing from qualified independent laboratory.

 

  • REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006): The battery pack, as part of the whole lamp  does not contain any substances of very high concern (SVHC) above the threshold limits and complies with all obligations related to chemical safety, by testing from qualified independent laboratory.

 

  • Right to Repair (EU2024/1799)

This battery is designed to be fully repairable, with all the other parts of the lamp where this battery is used, however it is recommended to have this lamp repaired by a qualified Electrician where ever possible.

 

 

 

  • Battery Safety (MSDS): 

The rechargeable battery is accompanied by a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and complies with all relevant safety, transportation, and disposal regulations. In addition the battery health safety and is controlled by a professional Battery Management System, (BMS) whose features include over charging, over discharging, controlled charging cycle, etc

This battery must be disposed of under the European WEEE directive, and any waste disposal requirements in your particular area. This batteries recyclable material is 95% recyclable

 

  • Drop Test

This battery pack and the lamp with this pack inside have both passed a 1.2m Drop test, by testing from qualified independent laboratory, proving this lamp is below the normal standard requirements of 1m drop test, required for most retailers, B2C, and shipments by Air, Rail and Sea requirements.

Along with all the European Union compliance this lamp also has USA regulatory compliance, the battery pack is manufactured in compliance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances, of Proposition 65 from California ensuring that all materials used are within the permitted limits of hazardous substances by testing from qualified independent laboratory.

Material lithium ion cells encapsulated in blue shrink plastic, with 2 pvc cables and a plastic 2 pin micro plug. This lamp and the battery inside has been crafted with care and attention to detail, using carefully chosen materials that provide correct heat dissipation, with no dissimilar metal or galvanic metal corrosion opportunities.  

 

  • Repairability

This battery is a replaceable with simple tools, and is designed in accordance with EU Directive 2024/1799.

 

  • Maintenance Regularly check the battery and the lamp for any damage. If any part of the lamp, battery pack or charging cable is damaged, it must not be used and should be disposed of according to the environmental instructions in this document.

 

  • Sustainability & Environmental Impact The battery pack, its packaging, and its manufacturing process are designed to have minimal environmental impact, in compliance with EU Directive 2009/125/EC.

 

  • Disposal Instructions Please dispose of the batteries and entire lamp in accordance with your local waste disposal regulations and the requirements of the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU

 

  • Cleaning

Never use water, abrasive or chemical cleaning agents near this battery, this battery will never need cleaning.  

 

 

 

 Classification Class 3 (or Class III)

The classification for the lamp where this battery pack is inside is Class 3 hence the batteries and lamps are designed for maximum safety, operating on Safety Extra-Low Voltage (SELV), typically below  AC or  DC. They rely on an internal battery and offer the highest protection against electric shock, suitable for sensitive areas.

The lamp and this battery pack inside it are rated at IP20.

 An IP20 lamp is an electrical light fixture with an Ingress Protection rating of "20", indicating it is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm (such as fingers) but has no protection whatsoever against liquids or moisture. IP20 rated lights are designed exclusively for dry, indoor environments.
